With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marianthe C. Kappakas of Brooklyn, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marianthe left this world on May 16, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evangelos Kappakas and Mary Kappakas (Maravel) of Brooklyn, NY.; and her brothers, James and George. She is survived by: her sisters, Elaine Kappakas and Joan Jones of Brooklyn, NY; her daughters, Chrysanthe Longman (late Andrew) of Easton, PA and Alexa Tarby (Bruce) of Pittstown, NJ; and her grandchildren, Trevor Longman (Anna Long) of Portland, OR, Melissa Giuliano (Ben) of Bethlehem, PA, Nicholas Longman of Easton, PA, Austin Tarby of Tampa, FL and Olivia Tarby of Pittstown, NJ.. She is also survived by aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clavin Funeral Home (7722 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church (8401 Ridge Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11209).
