She was predeceased by: her husband John M. Collins (Jack); and her parents, Albert Zupka and Frances Zupka. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Finn (late Stephen), Richard (Kathy), Maryellen Ansbro (Thomas), Daniel (Barbara) and Kathleen Giordano (Jeff); her sister Sally A. Higgins; her grandchildren, Mary Smith (Shawn), Frank Finn (Annie), Jack (Julie), Christopher (Lauren), Michael, Taylor Sofiane (Rachid), Daniel (April), Matthew, Irene, Kevin, Brian, Anthony and Jonathan Giordano; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Lloyd Smith, Kellen Finn, Mina Sofiane and Cassidy Collins. She is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the HoytFuneral Home (199 Main St, New Canaan, CT 06840). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (21 Cherry St, New Canaan, CT 06840).
