She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Armstrong and Gilbert Armstrong; her brother Charles Gilbert Armstrong (Susan) of Medina; her daughter Mary Leighton; her grandchildren, Wilson Whiles of Houston, Dexter Whiles of Houston, Clara Whiles of Houston, Everett Whiles of Houston, Melissa Gill and Joshua Gill of Knoxville; her nieces, Susan Dorsey Armstrong (Ryan Schneider) of West Lafayette and Katherine Armstrong Hochstetler (Mark) of Menlo Park; and her nephew Charles Monroe Armstrong of Brooklyn.
