He was predeceased by: his parents, Adlis Theresa Noel and Ralph Joslyn Cruickshank; and his son Ainsley Adams. He is survived by: his wife Frances John; his children, Derry "Pecky" Garraway, Keno Niguel Joseph and Felicia Kathleen John; his grandchildren, Kadeem Adams and Kaileigh Adams; and his siblings, Franklyn John (UK), Sandra, Rosa, Devon, Brian (Grenada), Sharon, Ian, Shirma, Edwin, Anslem, Kelly, Shawn, Ashley, Kiang, Sabrina and Lindona (Canada). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
