“Mike, our last conversation was about oxtail recipes a few weeks ago. You and I were like old ladies talking from the kitchen. How many times did I text you asking about a substitution, or how to cook something in a certain way, or to tell you I set the parchment paper on fire while baking cookies, or that I wore out my Kitchenaid? We met because of engineering school, but we became friends because of so much more. I love you, and your loss leaves a huge void. I will miss you every day! Barb”
