He was predeceased by : his grandmother Roseann Asplund. He is survived by : his mother Ellen Asplund Kohan of New Hartford; his brothers, Luke Kohan (Dawn) of Virginia and Neil Kohan (Melisa) of Syracuse; his niece Addison; his nephew Sami; his pet Charlie; his aunts and uncles, Carol, Bob Leupold, Arlene and John Aragona; his godparents, Nelley and Vincent Vaccaro; and his friends, Lauren Eisler of New York, Carey Smith of Colorado, Govians Pete Thomas, Matty Kleinberg, Mario Illanes and Emily Fu. He is also survived by friends, joking around with his brothers, doting on his niece and nephew.
He was also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles & Hilda Kohan. Survivors include his father, Dr. James Kohan, 2 half brothers, 2 uncles, 2 aunts, and many cousins and grand-cousins around the U.S.
Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams and Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Gow School and the Dyslexia Policy Institute at Columbia Med.
