He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Powers and Evelyn Powers; and his sister Donna Doremus. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Powers (Kim); his children, Rebecca, Scott, James, Brian and Lauren; his son-in-law Kenny Cardona; his grandchildren, Emma, Brayden, Rylan and Carter; his sister Maureen Galligan; his brother-in-law Jack Galligan; his brother Christopher Powers; and his sister-in-law Sherry Hynes. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Duffy's Funeral Home (255 9th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint Saviour (611 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
