Renata (Mason) McCollum Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renata (Mason) McCollum of Brooklyn, New York, who departed this life on January 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Renata leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will be forever cherished by her family and friends.

Renata was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Britta Mason-Harris, Olga Mason, and Miriam Mason. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Aron Harris, Eric Mason, and Kimberly, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She is also survived by her siblings, Hans Mason, Ingrid Mason, Klaus Mason, Anneliese Mason, and Wilhelm Mason, who will remember her with love and fond memories.

In accordance with Renata’s wishes, there will be no service or funeral. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread by her family in a private and meaningful remembrance.

Though Renata has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures—a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of those she leaves behind, even in the darkest of hours. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will forever be cherished in the tender embrace of remembrance. May she rest in eternal peace.
