He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Townes Sr. and Mary; and his siblings, Robert C. Townes (Arlene) and Elizabeth Hendickson. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his nieces, Kristine Mustillo (Lawrence) and MaryEllen Hendickson (Dan); and his nephew Jonathan Townes (Allison).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McLaughlin & Sons Funeral Home (9620 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at 500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
