He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cooper and Betty Cooper (Ritz); his brother Stanley Cooper; his grandson Mathew Vernal Hale; his great grandchild Grace Ann Hale; and his wife Bonnie.
He is survived by: his children, John Michael Robsion and Robin Charlene Sprowles (Mark); his grandchildren, Krystyna Marie (Robert), Katharine Marie (Steven), Hamilton (Sprowles), Nicholas Ryan Bogard, Kimberly Marie (Anthony) and Patti (Sprowles); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Michael Hale, Sydney Grace Moffitt, Natalie Ryan Moffitt and Logan Olivia Moffitt.
