We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2025, at the age of 87, Rosa Lee Chavis in Brooklyn, New York, born in Darlington, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rosa Lee may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rosa Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lennis Scott and Lillian Scott; and her child Palvolyn Chavis (Brenda) of Rembert, SC. She is survived by: her children, Stanley Chavis (Karien) of Franklinton, NC, Geronell Weston (late Chauncey) of Columbia, SC, Tyron Chavis (Eleanor) of Lamar, SC and Bishop Edward Arthur (Easter) of Centerville, SC; and her nephew Woodrow Wilson, Jr. of Columbia, SC. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many other close relatives and very dear friends.
