She was predeceased by : her parents, Simon Rabinowitz and Mollie Rabinowitz; and her husband Benjamin Pikitch. She is survived by : her daughters, Ellen Pikitch and Susan Pikitch; her sons-in-law, Allen Zwickler and Michael Giobbe; her brother Irving Rabinowitz; and her grandchildren, Scott Emlen (Meira), Adam Zwickler (Danielle) and Randi Zwickler. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2023 at 12:15 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery (1126 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2023 at 12:45 PM at the same location. A shiva was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 21st 2023 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manhattan Home of Ellen Pikitch.

Donations in Ruth's honor may be made to The Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst or the Menachem Mendel Cheder Day School of Seattle, WA.
