It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Rubin in Brooklyn, New York, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jenny Hassan and Max Hassan; and her grandson Jonathan Cohen (Stephanie Bruzenas). She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Carol Cohen (Mark), Steven Rubin, David Rubin (Janice Leber), Marcia Gerkens (Henry) and Eleanor Huckins (Max); her grandchildren, Michael Cohen (Christine), Kristin White (Adam), Brian Gerkens and Julie Gerkens; and her great grandchildren, Aidan Cohen, Brady Cohen, Chase Dodson and Dahlia Dodson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Masonic Home (902 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington, NJ 08016).
