Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret Scriber (Zimmer); and his son Dale Scriber. He is survived by: his wife Christine Scriber (Boxmeyer) of Greenville, SC; his sons, Daniel Scriber of Spotsylvania, VA and David Scriber of Marietta, GA; and his stepchildren, Rebecca Taylor and Steven Moore of Greenville, SC.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calendar Tabernacle Baptist Church (1019 N Cayuga St, Ithaca, NY 14850). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Tabernacle Baptist Church or Brooktondale Fire Department.
