It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Yakabe of Brownville, New York, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Grunert and Hazel Grunert (Babcock); her son-in-law John F. Connor; and her sister Mary Angeline Marceyes. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Marie Wanta and Kathleen Lorraine Connor; her grandchildren, Justin (Lisa Durlewanger), Shana (Jonah Loveless), Walter "Wally" (Shannon Parker IV), Bryon (Courtney Parker) and Sean Patrick (Sara Connor); her great grandchildren, Axel, Emma, Ava, Dahlia, Violet, Cadence, Cameron and Kiley; her brother John; and her sister-in-law Pat Grunert of Connecticut. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations in her memory may be made to Maddie's Mark Foundation and Hospice of Jefferson County.
