The memory of John J. Vars of Brownville, New York, who passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Vars and Pauline Vars (Siedlecki); and his sister Alexis. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bossuot of Carthage; his pet Luna; and his siblings, Stanley (Maria Vars), James Vars, Thomas Vars, Kenneth (Mary Vars) and Peter (Amy Vars). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA of Jefferson County or Hospice of Jefferson County.
