David A. Holmes Obituary
The passing of David A. Holmes of Brushton, New York occurred on October 6, 2026. David, born on May 15, 1944 in Malone, New York, is remembered by those who knew him. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Holmes and Esther Holmes of North Bangor; and his siblings, Norman Holmes of North Bangor, Karlyn Bashaw of Chasm Falls and Nellie Anne Holmes of North Bangor.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Haberly Holmes; his daughter Carol Haberly-Holmes; his son-in-law Kevin Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY; his son Jeffrey Holmes of North Bangor; his siblings, John Holmes (Renee) of Moira and Nathalie Symonds of Malone; and his aunt Lucy Shoen of Malone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1347 Washington St, Brushton, NY 12916).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moira Rescue Squad or Doctors Without Borders in Dave's memory.
