It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leah J. Timmons of Buchanan, New York, who passed away at the age of 90, on October 4, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas DeSoto and Grace DeSoto (Ostrander); her husband Charles Timmons; her brother Thomas; and her pet Amy Lou.
She is survived by: her children, George Smith (Victoria) of Buchanan, NY and Laura Watt (John) of Goshen, NY; her grandchildren, Christopher Burns (Victoria), Nancy Soutar (James) and Geoffrey Burns; her great grandchildren, James, Ella Soutar and Hudson Burns; her sister Nancy Heller; and her stepchildren, Donna Anderson, Kevin Timmons and Dawn Fucheck. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home (170 Kings Ferry Rd, Montrose, NY 10548). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery (540 N Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591).
