It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caitlyn Marie Hochreiter of Buffalo, New York, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 35, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Caitlyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Caitlyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Caitlyn leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her mother Catherine P. Hochreiter (Szurzcynski). She is survived by: her father James E. Hochreiter; her sisters, Kimberly Buchner (David) and Lindsey Hochreiter; her godson Reysean; her cousin Jason Kozakowski; and her friends, Caitlin Esposito (Brent), Jenna Montesanti (Joe) and Casey Pauline. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends, and most of all her fur babies.
