She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Bartz and Madeline Bartz (Miller); and her sister Joyce Quinn. She is survived by: her husband Patrick J. Dempsey, Sr.; her children, Patrick, Jr. (Lisa), Kimberly O'Hara (Tim) of Apex, NC, Michael (Wendy) of Shelby Township, MI and James Dempsey; and her grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Ethan, Brendan, Aidan, Gabrielle Dempsey, Erin and Patrick O'Hara. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
