It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Payne of Buffalo, New York, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Carolyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Carolyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Talmadge "T. J." Powell; her mother Joanne Sullens Hughes; and her grandparents, Robert and Hattie Reeves. She is survived by: her children, Kayla Barbella (Brandon) of Cumming and Johnathon Powell of Gainesville; her father Melvin Reeves; her stepmother Joy Reeves; and her brother Paul Reeves.
