Charles R. Mertz Obituary
We announce the death of Charles R. Mertz (Buffalo, New York), who passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 83. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Mertz; his child Marion Mertz; and his granddaughter Hannah. He is survived by: his children, Jude Mertz (Joanne), Mary Margaret Hurley (Kenneth) and Matthew Mertz; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Margaret, Evan and Grace; and his siblings, Wayne (Patricia), James (Patricia), Mark (Cindy) and Marlene Sardoss (late Jivko). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
