He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Krantz and Cele Krantz (Sodikman) of Buffalo; his former wife Ellie Krantz (Adler); his daughter-in-law Kerstin Arusha; his wife Beth Shinn; his sister Ellen Zucker (Irving); his children, Rachel Krantz (Andy Fire), Rebecca Krantz (Don Katz), Ari Krantz (Margot Kushel), Dan Shinn-Krantz (Melinda Hood) and Marc Shinn-Krantz (Sarah Klauer); his grandchildren, Avery Krantz-Fire, Kaja, Tavi Arusha and Mara Klauer; and his stepgrandchildren, Sam and Sarah Katz.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Geophysical Union (https://www.agu.org), which is on the forefront of research on climate change.
