She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Smith; her parents, Donald Reuther and Blanche Reuther; and her brother Donald Reuther. She is survived by: her boyfriend Mark Chaffin; and her siblings, Robert Reuther (late Patricia), David Reuther, John Reuther and Frances Stevens Reuther.
