He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, James Martin, Timothy Martin, Monica Campana (Thomas), Katherine Zufall, Mary Beth Cavanaugh, Jennifer Scalisi (Christopher), Edwin Martin Jr. (Eileen) and Deanna Barker; his siblings, Dede Goodison and Marcia Wojtaszczyk; and his close friend Marlene Muscarella. He was also cherished by 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
