He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Bobby Cordero (Theresa), Dean Vega, Elaine Vega (Aramis Rios) and Peter Vega (Natasha); his grandchildren, Tabitha Williams, Erica Valazquez, Bobby Cordero Jr., Peter Vega Jr., Eila Rios, Nataly Vega and Amaris Rios; his parents, Secundino Vega and Maria Vega; and his siblings, Tony, Saro, Gilbert, Manuel, Gloria, Holda, Iris, Francisco, Santos and Juan Vega. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
