She was predeceased by: her spouse Kostas "Gus" Lignos; her parents, Thomas Karantonas and Elizabeth Karantonas; her siblings, Andoni Karantonas (late Katina), Eleni Karantonas and Emmanuel Karantonas; and her niece Elizabeth Karantonas.

She is survived by: her children, Irene Lignos and Paul Cronis Lignos; her nieces, Eleni Kariki (Saki) and Helen Bernier (late Paul); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael Bernier (Mary), Nicholas Bernier (Sarah), Katerina Karagiannidis (Pavlos), Olga Kariki and Anastasia Kariki.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fay Lignos' name to Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.
