With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Applegarth (Buffalo, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Geraldine's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Geraldine has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Applegarth; her child Jamie DiSalvo; and her parents, Gordon Shell and Magdaline Shell. She is survived by: her children, Susan Nelson (late Randy), Michele Yax (Curtis), Sharon Kerr (William), Kathleen McHugh (Matthew) and Danielle DiSalvo; and her stepchildren, Lin, Charles, Applegarth and Lori Pool. She is also survived by six siblings; also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
