Schlemmer and Eleanor Schlemmer (Piontek); his wife Dorothy Schlemmer (Schreiber); his children, James Schlemmer (Cherilynn), Dawn Maiolo (Jeff) and Lynnai Jacus (Carmen); his grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie), Derek (Danielle), Joel (Andrea), James III, Emily (Ron), Joshua (Alycia), Justin, Jessica and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Liam, Marissa, Logan, Lilly, Amelia and Blake; and his siblings, Cheryl Hare, Lynn Schlemmer and Clifford Schlemmer. He was also cherished by several brother and sister in-laws and nieces and nephews.
