She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas L. Fitzsimmons Sr. and Beatrice Carolan. She is survived by: her children, Edward Maida Jr. (Janet), Joanne Giamberdino (John), Anthony Maida and Janet Maida; her sibling Thomas Leo Fitzsimmons Jr.; her grandchildren, Stephen Giamberdino, John Mark Giamberdino (Jennifer), Paul Maida, Faith Bastian (Joshua) and Natalie Maida (Jeremy Wassel); and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Giamberdino, Vera Bastian and Mabel Bastian. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or a membership may be purchased to the Buffalo Zoo to honor.
