Joan E. Paschka Obituary
We announce the death of Joan E. Paschka (Buffalo, New York), who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 95. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joan will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Joan will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Joan’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert C. Paschka; and her children, Linda Hardy (Lee), Robert Paschka (Catherine) and Pamela Hirschfelt (Dennis). She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc. (911 Englewood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14223). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
