He is survived by: his son Colton John Hayes; and his siblings, Kate Casey (Michael), Peter J. Piccillo (Alena), Ann Marie Mercurio (David) and Brian Piccillo (Laura). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Martin of Tours Church (1140 Abbott Rd, Buffalo, NY 14220).
