He was predeceased by: his brother Daniel Devine; and his parents, John Devine and Helen. He is survived by: his wife Judith Devine; his children, John (Laurie), Susan Schmittendorf (Steve), Robert, Kevin (Barbara) and Marybeth Bates (John); and his sister Ellen Menke. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Connell - Murphy Funeral Home (1075 Ridge Rd, Lackawanna, NY 14218). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Resurrection Roman Catholic Church (130 Como Park Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14227).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Bishop-Timon St. Jude High School in John's memory.
