He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Smeadala (late Nina) and Fortunata Smeadala. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Smeadala; his children, Leisanne, Tarrie Battaglia (Tony) and Michelle Stachura (Jeff Stachura); his grandchildren, Stephan Bodnar, Alex Bodnar, Nora, Kaira Koller, Matthew Klapp, Sarah, Kaitlin Battaglia, Anthony, Addison Stachura and Dominic Stachura; and his siblings, Patricia Bohnet (late William) and Mark Smeadala (Jie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to Hospice Foundation or Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
