He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayes and Ruth Mordick (late Ron); his son John Jr.; his former wife Donna Hayes; and his siblings, Barb Bowen (late Roger), Glen Hayes (Debbie) and Sammy Mordick.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. "Dottie" Hayes (Manning); his children, Denise Van Hoff (John), Patti Tyrrell (Randy), Carey Fuller (Wally), Amanda Hayes, Teri Tesch (late Randy), Lori Sell (late Henry), Tami Tesch and William M. Tesch; and his brothers, David Mordick (Kris) and Ronald Mordick (Lisa). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
