He was predeceased by: his daughter Colleen Harris. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Gurney (Randal), Maureen Kelly and Anne Russo-Cavalier (Thomas); his grandchildren, Zachery, Danielle, Leah (Theron), Jessica, Megan, Michael, Jordan, Lance Jr. and Dean Jr.; his great grandchildren, Natalie and Ava; his close friend Kathleen Stafford; Cheryl Stafford, Sheila Johnson (Ross) and Scott Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
