He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Jane DiSarno; his daughter Diane Ashe (Tom); his grandchildren, Leah Ashe and Jay Hontz; his parents, Ralph DiSarno and Elvira DiSarno; and his siblings, Sam DiSarno (late May), Evelyn Bielli (late Jerry), Mike DiSarno (late Jackie), Anthony DiSarno (late Pat) and Sylvia Zablonski (late Walter).

He is survived by : his children, Linda Hontz, Laura DiSarno, Joseph A. DiSarno (Diane) and Anthony DiSarno (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Greg Ashe (Cindy), Carrie Klauk (Dan), Mary Zoldos (Eric), Nick DiSarno (Kara Murray), Taylor DiSarno, Liz Becker (Dan), Scott (Laurie), Craig (Margaret) and Teddy Spiezio.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Southtowns Chapel) (3060 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Charity Parish (65 Ridgewood Rd, Buffalo, NY 14220).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richie's honor may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
