She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kirkland and Mamie Kirkland (Lang); and her husband Archie Hunter. She is survived by: her children, Jeffery A. Hunter (Mattie), Wayne B. Hunter and Gail D. Hunter (Nadine); her grandchildren, Melissa Hunter, Olivia Hunter Glinski and Bryant Hunter Glinski; and her siblings, Beatrice Kirkland, Margaret Kirkland, Jeanette Clinton and Tarabu Betserai Kirkland (Nobuko). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Juanita K. Hunter Scholarship Fund for Healthcare Education at the First Shiloh Baptist Church.
