We announce the death of Judy I. (Sloan) Ross of Buffalo, New York, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Judy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Judy will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Judy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sloan and June Sloan (Shupe). She is survived by: her husband Samuel N. "Sam" Ross; her daughter Marcy Granata (Anthony) of Sarver; her grandsons, Dante (Samantha) and Dylan Granata (Autumn) of Sarver; and her brothers, Terry Sloan (Linda) of White Plains, MD and Robert Sloan (Lisa) of Port Tobacco, MD. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. - Apollo (100 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
