He was predeceased by: his wife Theodora L.; his father George Bechakas; and his siblings, Loukas Bechakas (Fotini) and Soultana Hatzinerantzis (Dimitri). He is survived by: his children, George and Leontios Bechakas; his siblings, Terry Bechakas (Stella) and Katina Pittas (late Zisis); and his siblings-in-law, Konstantinos Bahas, Markos Bahas (Anna) and Artemis Koustas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (146 W Utica St, Buffalo, NY 14222). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Elmlawn Cemetery (3939 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14217).
