She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Smith; her son John J. Smith, Jr. (Nancy); and her parents, Antonio Valenti and Carmella Valenti. She is survived by: her children, Margaret A. Long (Michael), Linda J. Ruffino (Peter) and Timothy G. Smith (Bonny); her grandchildren, John (Sara), Peter, Sarah (Leo), Michael, Jody, Bradley and Timothy; and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Zane, Jack, Cecilia, Evelyn, Trey and Tessa. She is also survived by brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Hospice of Buffalo.
