She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Jankowiak and Leonard Jankowiak; and her husband John Melnyk. She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Melnyk (Lynn), Kevin Melnyk (Julie) and Gary Melnyk (Hope); her grandchildren, Siobhan Melnyk, Mac Melnyk, Heather Domres (John) and Shannon Melnyk; and her great grandchildren, Theo, Charlie and Everett. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home (2400 William St, Cheektowaga, NY 14206). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Church (35 Edward St, Buffalo, NY 14202). A burial was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the St. Matthew's Cemetery (180 French Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224).
