With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian T. Knox (Buffalo, New York), born in Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on February 11, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Giroux and Theresa Giroux; her siblings, Monica Rose Giroux and Lawrence Isidore Giroux; and her sister-in-law Gail Giroux.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Knox; her children, Kurt Knox (Kate), Tracy Tessier (Marc), Mark Knox (Christine), Wendy Knox (Chad Rengert), Heidi Knox, Eric Knox (Kayleigh), Sarah Vine (Logan) and Peter Knox (Nicole); her siblings, Joe Giroux (Carol), John Giroux (Rosemary), Kathryn Giroux, Marcel Giroux, Philip Bronder-Giroux (Pamela), George Giroux (Debra), Lucy Giroux and Patricia Gallagher; her grandchildren, Dylan, Autumn, Violet, Adam, Evan, Emma, Tristan and Jack; and her close friends, Kathy Healy, Joan Kirchofer, Kathy Huffman and Rosemarie Messana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Sorry to hear about Marian Marian and I were cousins. We were 4 months apart in age. So whenever I went to Uncle Leo's house, Marian and I use to hang around together. She loved to run and was always challenging me to race with her. We start by the lilacs and run across the lawn. She always beat me. No matter how hard I tied, I could never win. She thought it was funny. I finally got smart and refused to race with her anymore. Thinking of Marian and the good times together.”
