With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine S. Gilbert of Buffalo, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Gilbert Jr.; her parents, Oliver McCloskey and Elmira McCloskey; and her siblings, Francis McCloskey (Doris), Mildred Schmitt (Robert), Rhoda Cummings (Clarence), Gene McCloskey (Dolores), Peggy Moline (James), Ada Link (Lawrence) and JoAnn Cochran.

She is survived by: her daughter Susan Horvath (Ronald); and her grandchildren, Leslie Miller (Eric), Nicholas Horvath and Anthony Horvath. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
