He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Shanahan; his children, Erin Galligan (Bill), Michael Shanahan, Alex Shanahan (Julia) and Kevin Shanahan; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Abigail, Joshua, Nathaniel, Emily, Maryjane, Clare and Evangeline Mae. He was also cherished by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
