He is survived by: his wife Elinor Michelson Shaevel; his children, Andrew Shaevel (Amy Marks) and Karen Levin (Robert); his grandchildren, Lewis Shaevel, Benjamin Gumer and Amanda Levin; William "Bill" Shaevel (Lois).
