We announce the death of Nora Jean Mayes (Buffalo, New York), who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 74. Nora will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband David Mayes; her parents, Dewey Roberts and Louise Roberts; and her siblings, Albert "Buster" Oliver, Carl Kelly, Gerald Roberts, Louise "Weggie" Roberts, Lee and Oliver.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Dawn Patton (John) and Tylon Mayes Sr.; her caregiver Jessica Mayes; her grandchildren, Tori Davis and Tylon Mayes Jr. Nora; Tina Oliver-Dean, Sarah Cheek, Dora Roberts-Daniels and Willie Oliver. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to carry out her final wishes.
