He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Burke; his parents, Paul F. Sr. Burke and Carolyn Burke; and his brother Richard Burke. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Suzette Burke (James Booth); his grandchildren, Brendan Burke, Cailin Schneider and Tara Terrell; his sister-in-law Ann Burke; and his close friend Catherine Donohue.
