He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Shappee; his parents, Harold Leroy and Amelia Shappee; and his siblings, Kenneth Shappee and Mary Hyssong.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Amy Serafin and Laura Silverman; and his grandchildren, Luc Leblanc, Stella Leblanc and Ayano Silverman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
