He was predeceased by: his wife Janet E. Monaghan; his stepdaughter Mindy Jo Posa; and his sister Margaret Youngs. He is survived by: his children, Sean (Marsha), Valerie Peterson and Kevin Monaghan (Sarah); and his stepdaughter Kimberly Byrne.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sieck, Mast & Leslie Funeral Home (250 Orchard Park Rd, Buffalo, NY 14224). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
